M&M Charity BBQ Day

Arbutus, Vancouver

2013 – Another Outstanding Charity BBQ Day!

25 years...and over $24 million raised for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada

On behalf of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC), and the 233,000+ Canadians living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), thank you for supporting the cause and for participating in the 25th annual M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day!

This past Saturday, May 11th, franchisees, staff and thousands of volunteers at 430 M&M Meat Shops locations across Canada joined together to raise $1.2 million dollars for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC). Supporters from coast to coast lined up to celebrate M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day and raise funds to help CCFC cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. To date, M&M Meat Shops’ franchisees, customers and volunteers have raised $24,306,000 for this worthy cause.

Saturday marked the 25th anniversary M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day and Canadians enjoyed thousands of hamburgers and hot dogs. Proceeds raised will go directly to CCFC to invest in research, education, awareness and advocacy for IBD, a disease that affects more than 233,000 Canadian men, women and children.

We sincerely thank all Store Captains, Event Day Volunteers, M&M Meat Shops Franchisees, Product Consultants, supporters, suppliers, family and friends who supported the cause. Your hard work and enthusiasm is really appreciated!

The M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day event exemplifies the M&M Meat Shops and CCFC's spirit of service and commitment to community, as well as each other. It reminds us all what we can achieve as a team!

Please accept our sincere congratulations and thanks for this year's terrific success. We hope we can count on your support again at next year's M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day.
