Living with IBD

Living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) brings new complexities and challenges to your life, whether you have the disease yourself or you are supporting someone who does.

One of the best things that you can do is learn as much about the disease as you can, and develop a good network of healthcare and support professionals. The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada can help you build your understanding of IBD in order to work most effectively with your health team.

Knowledge is power and the need for specific types of information is unique to every individual. Some people will be looking for more information about the implications of various medications; others will be seeking tips for coping with the emotional burden of living with a chronic disease.

CCFC has a number of brochures and resources to help you understand your diagnosis, toward the goal of helping you live well with inflammatory bowel disease.
