Volunteer Opportunities

CCFC offers several different opportunities for volunteers from short term event roles to longer term leadership positions with a local Chapter. It is important that volunteers find the best fit for their interests, skills and availability. Your local staff representative can help find the best fit for you.

We are currently putting together volunteer taskforces for Gutsy Walk. For more information about the committees, click here. To register as a volunteer and to read about other volunteer opportunities in your community, visit your Regional Volunteer Centre.

Chapter Volunteers: Join our team of key volunteers who use their leadership, communication and organizational skills to run successful Chapters. In addition to its regular Chapter members, each Chapter elects a leadership team annually (President, Treasurer and various Program Leaders) who work together to oversee fundraising, education and awareness programs. The Chapter is ideal for those looking to deepen their commitment with the Foundation to help move the mission further ahead.

Short-Term Event Volunteers: Throughout the year the Foundation looks to engage volunteers who have unique skills and interests for specific events. Join our team of volunteers who coordinate events and raise funds for inflammatory bowel disease research. Committees develop and lead fundraising projects such as the Gutsy Walk, M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day, the All that Glitters Gala, CCFC & You Education Symposia, sports tournaments, fashion shows and dinners. This opportunity is ideal for those looking for a specific project with a beginning and an end.

Day of Event Volunteers: If you are not available to take on a role with the Chapter, you might like to volunteer at one of our events in a “day-of” volunteer role.

Administrative and Support Volunteers: Our staff and Chapters are always looking for an extra hand to help with mailings, posters and other support activities.

National Taskforces: Volunteers interested in participating in CCFC National taskforces can find out more about these opportunities through their local Chapters and staff representative. This may include the National Board of Directors, Youth Advisory Council, Volunteer Advisory Council as well as various program related taskforces (Heel ‘n’ Wheel-a-Thon, Communications and Marketing).
