CCFC Publications

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) understands the complexities and challenges that come with a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and we are here to help.

One of the best things that you can do is learn as much about your disease as possible. Knowledge is power and the need for specific types of information is unique to every individual. Some people will be looking for more information about the implications of various medications; others will be seeking tips for coping with the emotional burden of living with a chronic disease.

CCFC has a number of publications, brochures and resources to help you understand your diagnosis and feel connected to others living with IBD, toward the goal of helping you live well with inflammatory bowel disease.

CCFC members also receive a complimentary subscription to the CCFC's magazine, The Journal (value $30). The Journal combines in-depth articles about the latest breaking medical research on IBD, with stories on topics as wide-ranging as how to improve doctor/patient relationships, to the challenge of coping with IBD in the Workplace. Each issue of The Journal also includes a Dear Doctor section, where using layman's language a gastroenterologist attempts to answer all your questions about IBD, from inquiries concerning complementary therapies, to those questioning the benefits of the newest prescription drugs or surgical procedures.

Sign up for CCFC membership and receive your personal copy of The Journal.

While CCFC aims to provide you with reliable and comprehensive information about your diagnosis, your gastroenterologist, GI nurse, general practitioner, pharmacist or registered dietitian is truly the best resource for information that is relevant to your individual situation.
