Research Recruitment
In keeping with our commitment to fund cure-directed IBD research, CCFC also fosters and supports research programs of basic, clinical and applied sciences as they relate to our mission to find the cure. Clinical trials of new medications give researchers and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries the opportunity to ensure medications and therapies are safe and effective, but it also helps people with IBD actively participate in the search for the cure. To help people with IBD search for trials, and to help researchers find participants, below you will you will find a list of links to ongoing trials. We also encourage you to participate in CCFC’s own GEM (Genetic, Environment, Microbial) Project, which has over 20 recruitment sites across Canada and in the United States. All studies listed on the websites have been approved by Institutional review or research ethics board. However, apart from studies that are funded by CCFC, the Foundation does not endorse or ensure the scientific merit of the trials listed. People who wish to participate in a study should discuss the opportunity with their personal physician. |
