The Alberta IBD Consortium pools knowledge and resources to develop new and innovative studies that span a variety of fields and locations, and builds capacity for ground-breaking IBD research in Alberta.

American College of Gastroenterology
Founded in 1932 to advance the scientific study of and medical treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

American Gastroenterological Association
Association representing gastroenterologic physicians and scientists involved in clinical practice, research and education around function and disorders of the digestive system.

Broad Foundation
The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, through its medical research program, provides 40 percent of all private funding for IBD research in the United States.  It funds early stage investigation – with the goal that innovative ideas need financial support for early testing to ultimately lead to effective treatment, diagnosis and prevention of IBD.
