The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) understands the complexities and challenges that come with a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and we are here to help. We have a number of brochures and resources to help you understand your diagnosis, toward the goal of helping you live well with inflammatory bowel disease. BrochuresWith advice from medical advisors, the CCFC has published a series of brochures. These brochures are available in pdf format from our website or you can request one of our 'Welcome Kits' which will give you three of our brochures as well as other information on the Foundation.
Two additional apps that IBD patients may like to consider are: Gi Bodyguard: Developed by IBD patients and the medical experts at the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF), Gi BodyGuard, with its "built-in symptom, stool, pain, food and medication trackers, along with a Gastrointestinal Health History form and medication / appointment reminders, helps those living with IBD track and share important information with physicians" says the CDHF's website. BodyGuard is available for FREE from iTunes. myIBD: CBC News: Teens and parents dealing with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis now have a mobile app that will help them manage their disease and seek help sooner if something is wrong courtesy of staff at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.The free app helps patients track their pain, food, stool and frequency of bathroom visits on their mobile devices.
