I am a Patient

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) understands the complexities and challenges that come with a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and we are here to help.

One of the best things that you can do is learn as much about your disease as you can. Knowledge is power and the need for specific types of information is unique to every individual. Some people will be looking for more information about the implications of various medications; others will be seeking tips for coping with the emotional burden of living with a chronic disease.

CCFC has a number of brochures and resources to help you understand your diagnosis, toward the goal of helping you live well with inflammatory bowel disease.

While CCFC aims to provide you with reliable and comprehensive information about your diagnosis, your gastroenterologist, GI nurse, general practitioner, pharmacist or registered dietitian is truly the best resource for information that is relevant to your individual situation.
