GEM Project

The GEM Project is a Canada-wide research study that will attempt to determine possible causes for Crohn's Disease by following healthy individuals who are at a higher risk for developing the disease over time. A total of 5,000 healthy individuals who have a sibling and/or parent with Crohn's Disease will join the effort to help find a cause. This is the first study of its kind to try and understand the complex genetic, environmental and microbial interactions within our own bodies.

If you have a full-sibling or parent that suffers from Crohn's Disease and are between the ages of 6 and 35, we invite you to participate. There are many recruitment centres in Canada, including:

Volunteer

"I volunteer because I want to change the world.
Je suis la parce que c'est si simple de soulager la solitude."

At CCFC, volunteers want researchers to find the cure. Have some fun, tackle new challenges, and work with others to find the cure. If you would like to volunteer with our Foundation, please contact your local chapter, or call Tracy at the regional office.

Thank You

Sincere thanks to all volunteer groups who organize fundraisers throughout the region. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Our appreciation also goes out to our many sponsors who support our efforts to raise funds for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Thank you!
