Winnipeg Chapter Meetings -The Chapter holds business monthly meetings with the location of the meeting changing to accommodate members throughout the city. Bracelets for Crohn's
Grade 12 student Rachelle Prawdzik chose CCFC as her charity to raise funds for a project assignment in her leadership class. Her idea was to make bracelets and sell them. She bought all the supplies herself, and with the help of a team of friends Annette Dirksen, Brittany Reid and Josee Huberdeau made over 100 bracelets. She picked the foundation because someone close to her has Crohn's disease. Thank you Rachelle! Club 373 Bingo
Winnipeg Chapter President Nancy Nagy with Tony Swidinsky from Club 373 Club 373 is a volunteer driven non-profit organization that holds bingos Monday, Wednesday and Fridays throughout the year. Each month they pick a charity to donate to. During the month of March, CCFC was chosen as their charity, receiving a donation of $500.00. Congratulations to Tony Swidinsky and his fellow volunteers for their dedication to the community for the past 50 years.

Lord Selkirk High School Coffee House Lord Selkirk High School hosted a Coffee House for the students at the school on March 4. The Coffee House is like an open mic night where buddng musicians can hone their skills at performing in front of live audiences. This March, they raised over $1250 for the CCFC! Thank you to Angela Halderson for hosting the event as well as to everyone who came out to support these students and the CCFC!
FEBRUARY 14, 2010 Argyle Curling Rink On February 14, 2010, we are planning to host the Fourth Annual Family Funspiel at the Argyle curling rink. If you can or cannot curl, we are inviting you to join us as we have a great day spending time with our families and raising money for CCFC. Please invite your friends and families to join us. You can enter a rink or just as a single and you will be put on a rink. Please register by calling Susan as soon as possible. The cost to curl will be $15/adult and $10/child 12yrs and under. If you can, we would appreciate donations to the silent auction or prizes for the bonspiel. Please let Susan know when you register. Please register by Feb 1, 2010 by calling Susan @ 204-461-2085 or 204-467-8256 Kids Wii Tournament! All youth who suffer from IBD are invited to attend a Wii Tourney. There will be games for everyone, and a chance to get together and just be a kid. March 13, 2010 Please contact the Chapter or Angela for more information.

Poker Tournament Fall Fundraiser -Jeff McFarlane This year, we had another Poker Tournament for our fall fundraiser on Oct. 21, 2009 at the Club Regent Casino. Again, a rousing success thanks to the great people with the MLCC, the Blue Bombers and Joe Aiello from CITI FM. Over 75 people participated, including Obby Khan and a handful of Bombers. Joe Aiello from 92CITI FM lasted the longest of our celebrity participants, and had to be on the air the next morning at 5am. Thanks Joe. Kelly Kellner of the Canadian Poker Tour was in town, and posted a bounty on himself. He pledged to give a free CPT membership to whoever knocked him out, but he ended up gaving away a seat for the CPT player of the year tournament, valued at $5000, because it was a CPT member that knocked him out . Top prize was almost $4000, we paid out the top 8 and 9, 10 and 11 got nice prize packs. A great time was had by all, and everyone is looking forward to next year's event!
