Research Scientist Award
The Research Scientist program is directed at investigators who
have demonstrated excellence, who expect to be among the leaders
of the Canadian research community within the next decade, and
for whom financial support is critical to maintain and expand
their research endeavors. Candidates must be within 5-15 years
of their first academic appointment and will normally be at the
Associate Professor or Professorial rank at a Canadian university.
Grants will be awarded at $75,000 per annum for five years.
These scientists will play a key leadership role in the development of world-class IBD research in Canada, with protected time for their research and an opportunity to mentor junior investigators and promote collaboration with others in the field.
