Volunteer Opportunities

Click here to become a volunteer today! With your help, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada will find a cure.

Volunteer satisfaction survey: The CCFC is seeking your input on our volunteer programs and resources. Complete the survey by February 15th and your name will be entered into a draw to win a $100 M&M Meat Shops gift card!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the CCFC. Through their efforts, the Foundation funds research projects, provides education programs about IBD for patients, families and the public, and increases awareness of the Foundation and IBD in general.

YOU can help us find a cure for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by joining the CCFC team. The following volunteer opportunities are currently available:

Volunteer for full year program

Throughout the year, CCFC Chapters have ongoing events and activities that we encourage you to take part in. Join our team of key volunteers who use their leadership, communication and organizational skills to run successful Chapters. The leadership team (President, Treasurer and various Program Leaders) works together to oversee fundraising, education and awareness programs.

If you answer “yes” to the following questions, you may be an ideal candidate for our full year program:

Throughout the year, CCFC Chapters have ongoing events and activities that we encourage you to take part in. Join our team of key volunteers who use their leadership, communication and organizational skills to run successful Chapters. The leadership team (President, Treasurer and various Program Leaders) works together to oversee fundraising, education and awareness programs. If you answer “yes” to the following questions, you may be an ideal candidate for our full year program:

    • Would you take your volunteer commitment seriously?
    • Can you act independently within the boundaries outlined in the volunteer job description?
    • Do you have energy and enthusiasm?
    • Do you want your involvement to move us ahead in funding research to find the cure?
    • Can you commit to at least 5-10 hours a month?
    • Are you willing to make a commitment of at least eight to 12 months?
    • Do you want to meet new people, have fun and gain valuable experience all at the same time?

Volunteer for a specific event

If you are interested in committing a limited amount of volunteer time, we want to hear from you too!  Join our team of volunteers who coordinate events and raise funds for inflammatory bowel disease research. Committees develop and lead fundraising projects such as the Heel 'n' Wheel-a-Thon, M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day, the Fall Fundraiser, sports tournaments, fashion shows and dinners.
